We started off the summer show season with a quick trip down the road to N.E.S.T at Brave Horse. It was great to get Legolas and Heaven Hill off the farm to check out the improvements done by the new owner of Brave Horse. Legolas brought home two blue ribbons in the performance hunters ridden by assistant trainer Jessica Borton. Heaven Hill had a great time schooling in the jumper ring with owner Stef Copeland and did well for never being at the venue. We are all very excited about the new ownership of Brave Horse and look forward to showing there all summer!
Congratulations to the Jackson family on the lease of Gracie. Thank you to long time friend and trainer Michelle Ooley-Arnold for helping us find the perfect beginner horse.
Our show team headed back down the road for Brave Horse I: Madeline Kottman and Valor were Champion in the low child/adult jumpers. Ella Ballard rode Beth Wilber’s Danika K to Reserve Champion in the Low Adult Hunters and took 3rd in the Brave Horse 2’6 Non-Pro Derby. Valentine Mehas and her pony Stargazer took Reserve Champion in the Outreach Short Stirrup Equitation. Smitten 57 lease by Alexandra Mehas was Reserve Champion in the USHJA 2’6 Hunters with assistant trainer Jessica Borton.
We celebrated Labor Day weekend by baling hay. Thank you to everyone who came out to help! We are very thankful for our barn family and to our hay expert Mr. P.
Our show team will be headed back down for Brave Horse II in June.
