It wouldn’t be Brave Horse Ohio without crazy weather, but the rain didn’t dampen the barn spirits this weekend! The fourth show of the series saw lots of moving up, lessons learned and great riding. Congratulations to our horses and riders! We were also able to celebrate Abbie’s 13th birthday with a BBQ and cake, which was a lot of fun. Now on to the results! Cassidy and Woodford Reserve moved up to the .90/Novice Children Adult jumpers with great success, earning a 5th, 6th and 7th at the new height. This was also Cassidy’s final show for the summer as she heads back to college- good luck in school and we will miss you! Addie and Primetime also moved up to the 1.0M jumpers with top ribbons and won the USHJA jumper seat medal! Great practice for Kentucky! Raquel and Bellagia HH were Reserve Champion in the Low Junior/Amateur Jumpers and Grace and The Phantom were Champion in the Novice Children/Adult Jumpers, winning two classes on Saturday! Avie and Callatos put in beautiful Hunter rounds and won the OHJA 3′ Medal! Lexi Manly rode her pony Corduroy against the pros in the Special Hunters and took 4th, as well as 3rd out of 13 in the OHJA 2’3″-2’6″ Medal! She also had lovely trips in the Children’s Pony Hunters and her age group Eq. Kim and her horse Corduroy were champion in the Non-Pro and look to move up to the 2’6″ in the near future! Corduroy also had lovely trips with Jessica in the Special Hunters. Maddie and Jack Frost earned blue ribbons in the Short Stirrup and top ribbons with Claudia in the cross rails! Sarah was Reserve Champion in the crossrails with Luxor and Kendall rode in her first show with HCF with Luxor and earned great ribbons in the Limit Hunter. Liz was Reserve Champion in the Intermediate Hunters with Lando 253 and Ava Rode Bavarian Motor Works to Reserve Champion in the Intermediate Children’s Hunter and the equitation 12-14! Ava and Beamer also won their Classic with scores of 85 and 82. Last but not least, birthday girl Abbie and Erickson had lovely trips and great ribbons in the Children’s Pony Hunters. It was a hot, muggy rainy weekend and we have to thank Nicole and Jessica for all their hard work plus Nina and Raquel for keeping the back of the show barn moving like clockwork. And of course all of our barn family that came out to support the riders! We’re off to Kentucky in a couple weeks, and we’re ready! See more photos and videos on our Facebook page!  #ridebrave
