Congratulations once again go out to the Hunters Court IEA Equestrian Team! Stonegate proved to be a very successful show for all. Saturday our middle school team – represented in only two divisions – still managed to nab a 4th place out of 12 teams! Sunday our kids (and parents!) worked their tails off at our hosting show and still had the energy to perform well in the ring – the High School Team finishing 3rd out of 9 teams.
Individually, our newest rider – Maria Moore, riding in the varsity open division – won the over fences and was 4th in her flat leading her to be champion open rider and reserve champion varsity rider. Addie’s 2nd place flat finish Saturday got the ball rolling for the middle school’s successful day; Kendall shined with a 2nd Saturday and a 3rd on Sunday; Grace contributed to our Sunday team result with a 2nd over fences and a 6th on the flat; Ella rode beautifully scoring a win on Saturday and a 6th on Sunday; Claudia had a great ride and finished 3rd on Sunday; Avie was a “pinch hitter” on Sunday, filling in for Olivia, borrowing clothes from everyone – and pulling off a win! And our venerable team captain, Cassidy had a great weekend with a 3rd and 6th to add to her point chase.
